Wolves have reportedly made an approach for Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz.

The Lowdown: Alcaraz profiled

He has been described as an ‘advanced playmaker’ by talent scout Jacek Kulig and has made 83 senior appearances for his current employers.

The Argentine has contributed to 18 goals during that time, and it looks as if a move to the Premier League could be on the cards in 2023.

The Latest: Wolves linked with Alcaraz

Sport Witness relayed an update from Gazzetta dello Sport regarding Alcaraz.

They claimed that Inter Milan are eyeing the midfielder, before adding that Wolves and FC Porto have ‘recently’ both ‘asked for information’ about the 19-year-old.

The Verdict: One to watch?

Wolves' new manager Julen Lopetegui is already working on January transfers at Molineux, and it looks as if Alcaraz could be on his list of possible additions.

The youngster already has plenty of first-team experience for his age and could well be a star in the making, with Kulig describing him as ‘one of the biggest talents in Argentina’.

Therefore, a winter swoop could be a shrewd move by Wolves chiefs, who may need to pip the likes of Inter Milan and Porto to the player’s services.
