Wolves: Old Gold ‘in discussions with up to 15 players’ -Wolves News

Wolves are currently ‘in discussions with up to 15 players’ as manager Julen Lopetegui is promised financial backing, according to reports

The Lowdown: Old Gold eye moves…

Since the Spaniard’s appointment, the Premier League relegation-battlers have been linked with January signings as the Molineux side also edge closer and closer to securing Atletico Madrid forward Matheus Cunha.

Wolves are reliably believed to be targeting six major signings by the end of next month and the Old Gold want to secure three of those new additions as soon as January 1 (BBC).

Lopetegui’s side currently sit bottom and have scored the fewest goals out of any side in the division, prompting club owners Fosun International to turn to the former Sevilla coach with proven experience in Europe.

The Latest: Wolves in talks with 15 players…

According to The Times, there has been some news on the extent of Fosun’s aim to support Lopetegui in the transfer market.

The reliable newspaper claims Wolves are currently ‘in discussions with up to 15 players’ and their boss has been promised financial backing this winter.

The Verdict: Good news…

Wolves being in contact with up to 15 players could be seen as a bit of a scattergun approach but it also shows just how much Fosun wish to back their new manager.

It’s been reported elsewhere that the club hierarchy now has Lopetegui’s list of transfer targets in hand and it will be interesting to see just how could come through the door at Molineux,
