‘Woodward won’t stop’, ‘Announce Ozil’ - Man United fans call for another Arsenal raid on Twitter

The Manchester United fans were delighted in the Transfer Tavern last night after the club officially confirmed the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, but plenty of the fans are hoping for the arrival of a second Arsenal player this month.

Following months of intense speculation regarding the future of Sanchez, the Chile international finally made his move to Manchester last night. For months it appeared that Sanchez was destined to join Manchester City from Arsenal, but United managed to successfully hijack City’s pursuit and make a huge statement of intent to their local-rivals.

Indeed, the optimism amongst the United supporters has been significantly boosted now that their club have managed to add Sanchez to their ranks. However, judging by the reaction on Twitter, the Red devils are also eager to see Jose Mourinho make a dramatic swoop for Mesut Ozil from their Premier League rivals.

Ozil’s future in North-London currently hangs in the balance as the German international is set to become a free agent next summer when his contract expires.

With that to consider, it is no surprise that the fans have turned out in their numbers to call for United to bring Arsenal’s key playmaker to Old Trafford either this month or at the end of the season.
