The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t sure what to think of the ongoing Diego Costa saga…
A sale was expected over the summer, but with the Blues seemingly unable to come to an agreement to sell him, he now looks set to stay at Stamford Bridge until January at the very earliest.
Given that he is yet to return to training at Chelsea, that leaves the Blues in a tough spot.
He’s not match fit, and there doesn’t appear to be a willingness from either side to get him back involved in the first team, and so the next few weeks and months will be very interesting, to say the least.
Chelsea fans, though, appear to be convinced on the matter. Despite the recent capture of Alvaro Morata, there appears to be a desire to get the Spaniard to return to Stamford Bridge, and the fans on Twitter appear desperate for him to play for Chelsea once again.
It would be a remarkable turn of events, not least with Antonio Conte still at the helm, and whilst it remains unlikely, stranger things have happened in football over the last few months.
