Aston Villa’s 2016/17 season has been a curious one, with the Villans showing signs of getting back into gear on occasion, only to undo their good work with disappointing results.
Steve Bruce’s tenure has been a mixed bag, too, but with good players at his disposal and a full campaign in the Championship to have a proper go at next term, there is cause for optimism in the Midlands.
One of the aforementioned good players to have been added to the Villa squad is Scott Hogan, who arrived over the winter from Brentford with a decent pedigree in the second tier.
The 24-year-old recently got off the mark in the claret and blue shirt with a goal vs. Wigan, but he’s predicting bigger and better things if he’s paired with Jonathan Kodjia in the club’s starting XI…

Hogan’s words should rally the troops, but it seems that a few supporters aren’t quite sure the pair can work together effectively…
