Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have had to endure a rollercoaster season but they’re pleased with last night’s draw in the Manchester derby.
Manchester United’s failure to take advantage of their first game in hand means Liverpool boast a two-point advantage over the Red Devils, although they still have a game in-hand to play against Southampton as their penultimate game of the season.
Whilst Liverpool have work to do to ensure their place in the top-four isn’t lost but they’ve found Jose Mourinho’s latest complaint quite hilarious, as the Red Devils boss claims Jurgen Klopp’s side have an ‘unfair’ advantage in the race for Champions League football.
Mourinho’s comments are in relation to his side’s packed fixture list, as they have five Premier League matches to go and face a minimum of two more games in the Europa League – meaning they don’t have a week off between now and the end of the season though.
Our landlord believes it’s a pretty stupid excuse though, as the fixture list was always going to pan out this way if Manchester United progressed in the cup competitions, which they have, and he doesn’t blame Liverpool supporters for mocking Mourinho.
I would have thought MU have the unfair advantage as they have the most expensive football squad in History???

Yawn. As if their megabucks aren't an advantage. Only way to respond to his trolling is 3 points at the weekend #ynwa

An "advantage" that we can't seem to capitalise on!
