Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait to see their side get up and running this year in the Premier League.
The Magpies are playing Tottenham on the opening weekend of the campaign and will certainly be eager to see their side record a win against one of the best teams in the league.
How they do at the weekend, then, and throughout the season, remains to be seen with their success partially set to depend on how well the new players do.
Indeed, many are expecting big things of Jacob Murphy this year and the Premier League Twitter account has suggested that they are too with this tweet:
