27-year-old striker eyed as PL trio prepare for January battle

There’s three sets of excited fans here in the Transfer Tavern at the moment thanks to the news in The Mirror that Jay Rodriguez could move to one of Hull, Swansea City or West Brom.

The striker has struggled for game-time this season with current club Southampton thanks to Charlie Austin’s great form and the emergence of Nathan Redmond in being able to play as a striker.

He had finally recovered from a cruciate injury earlier this season that had been keeping him out for a serious amount of time but despite now being fit he has just started one game so far.

That came against Arsenal in September and so it now seems that his career on the south coast could be coming to and end.

There appears to be plenty of potential suitors for the striker, though, with the three Premier League clubs looking for extra fire-power.

Whilst Swansea and Hull are embroiled in a relegation scrap West Brom are currently sniffing around the European spots and could be set for a great season.

Our landlord agrees and thinks Rodriguez should move to The Hawthorns if and when he gets the chance.
