After last weekend’s disappointing early exit at the hands of Leicester City in the FA Cup, Everton responded fantastically in their return to Premier League action this weekend with an emphatic victory over Manchester City.
Having now beaten Arsenal and the Citizens in the past month, the latter by a 4-0 scoreline, Everton have proven themselves this season under Ronald Koeman and things are looking very, very bright for the future.
Both on the scoresheet in the victory, youngsters Ademola Lookman and Tom Davies made a fine impression at Goodison Park.
Both talents look to be exceptional and could definitely become superstars on the Blue half of Merseyside.
There is of course a long way ahead for both players but they’ve got off on the right track and our landlord is impressed by what he has seen, and has identified TWO reasons why the duo will become big hits at Goodison Park.
Instant impact

Ademola Lookman, recently arriving from Charlton Athletic, came onto the field for a very late cameo, playing just over a minute, but didn’t take long at all to get off the mark.
That will ease the pressure upon the 19-year-old’s shoulders massively, so expect him to shine again this season.
Meanwhile Tom Davies, who made his seventh Premier League appearance yesterday, dominated the game and took home the Man of the Match award.
Capping off his display with a goal, Davies is another who’s impressed immediately in the first-team.
Right project

With Farhad Moshiri and Ronald Koeman, Everton have built a good platform to succeed in the future and push towards glory.
Lookman and Davies can both be a huge part of that, with Everton likely to balance new signings with promoting their youngsters.
That’s good news for this pairing, who can expect plenty of action in the coming years.
Whilst they may be in-and-out of the side for the remainder of this campaign, especially with Everton only having Premier League football to play, any experience they do earn will be extremely valuable.
