2 transfer window mistakes that Man Utd could live to regret

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted with their side’s transfer window…

Jose Mourinho’s side has undergone an evolution this summer, with a number of big names moving to Old Trafford.

Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic have taken all of the plaudits, and with good reason. Lukaku has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season, whilst Nemanja Matic has solidified the Man Utd midfield fantastically.

For many in the pub, it was a close to perfect window. But could it have been even better?

Without doubt, Man Utd filled the majority of the gaps within their squad, but with Mourinho likely looking to achieve Premier League glory this season, you can never have too much talent.

There are also question marks over one new signing in particular.

With that said, here are 2 transfer window mistakes that Man Utd could live to regret…

 Natural Winger

Man Utd have a lot of attacking midfielders, but they don’t really have any classic wingers.

Players like Mkhitaryan and Martial are great on the ball, and their dribbling is fantastic, but their deliveries aren’t quite as good as they could be.

Man Utd should have targeted a natural winger in an effort to capitalise on Romelu Lukaku’s quality in the air, making him even more deadly.

It’s more of a luxury, and they should do well without one, but when sides sit back – it could have really helped.

 Victor Lindelof

It’s early days, but Victor Lindelof has looked shaky.

Man Utd spent big money on him, and he would have been expected to come in and make an immediate impact.

Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened – and that has left Man Utd short at the back.

He will come good eventually, but Man Utd needed a defender that could make an immediate impact.
