The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are nervous about the prospect of Eden Hazard leaving the club this summer…
The Belgian has been vital throughout the campaign, and that has, expectedly, drawn the attention of a few European giants.
According to Cadena COPE, Hazard is on the radar of Real Madrid – leaving the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern concerned that he could leave the club at the end of the season. Significantly, Hazard has also revealed his admiration for Zinedine Zidane in the past, and with Chelsea likely to end the season on a high – the pieces seemingly were coming into place for Hazard to leave the club this summer and ride into the sunset.
Interestingly, Hazard had has also mentioned that he would only leave the club after winning the Premier League, if he ever did depart, and the Blues are looking suspiciously close to achieving that goal this season.
However, according to the Evening Standard, that is not the case. They are reporting that the Belgian is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge this summer – and thusly has no plans to force through a departure from Chelsea.
Hazard, who reportedly earns £220,000 per week, signed a new contract in 2015 – but there has been a constant fear since that point that the Belgian could look to leave the club, but it seems as though that won’t be happening for another year at least.
The Chelsea winger has been in sensational form this season – scoring 11 goals and making 4 more so far in the Premier League this year.
The landlord in the Transfer Tavern think that this is all down to Conte. The Italian has come in and changed the mood at Stamford Bridge, and Hazard is benefitting from that.
