Do Not Sell My Personal Information

3 players Man City really should have sold by now – Do you agree?

The Man City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are beside themselves with excitement after the start to the season they’ve had.

Pep Guardiola has come in and already looks like he’s transformed the players into the kind of style he likes football to be played, whilst five wins from five in the league has certainly helped the bedding in process.

Some particularly optimistic City fans reckon they can go unbeaten this season and whilst that seems a tad over the top, you can’t deny they’re off to a flyer.

A number of their signings are looking good too, adding to an already impressive squad. Nolito, Ilkay Gundogan, John Stones and Leroy Sane have come in to join the likes of Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne in a formidable looking team, but when you look at some of the players in the squad, you wonder why they’re still there.

Our landlord is certainly baffled by some and thinks this THREE in particular really should have been sold by now…

Yaya Toure

Yaya Toure

The Ivorian has never been a Pep Guardiola player and it looks as though he never will be so why on Earth have they kept him on.

His wages are astronomical and despite City hardly being strapped for cash, that kind of outlay could be put to much better use.

He’s not the player he was and despite being a great for City, it’s really time to sever those ties.

Gael Clichy

ClichyClichy

City need a world class left back and with all due respect to Gael Clichy, he isn’t one.

The Frenchman came through at Arsenal with the tag of being the next Ashley Cole and that simply hasn’t happened for him.

You can’t imagine he’ll be at the club much longer anyway once Guardiola really gets to grips with who he wants in each position.

Jesus Navas

navas

It’s a shame for Navas but it’s never really worked out in this country.

In Spain he was a real threat with lightning pace but we haven’t seen enough from him when it comes to end product and that’s why he should be let go.

A move back to Spain would be more than beneficial for him whilst City would be able to get a player in more suited to this division.
