Delighted about the fact Albion Rovers, though they did themselves justice it must be said, were unable to cause an upset in the Scottish Cup, the Celtic fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern hope this 16-match winning run can continue.
Next up for the Bhoys is the visit of St. Johnstone as the SPFL returns to action following the winter break. Though the Hoops are ludicrously out in front of the chasing pack, the promising thing to see for the punters is that Rodgers’ side are not taking their foot off the gas in the slightest.
So, expect them to take the meeting with the Saints as seriously as they would an Old Firm on Wednesday night as they look to conquer all before them in a manner not seen in Scotland for many years.
With such an exciting squad to chose from these days, here’s who he should pick tomorrow.
GK: Craig Gordon

Has held off the challenge of Dorus de Vries this season very well and should start tomorrow night between the posts.
RB: Mikael Lustig

So important to Celtic’s attacking play, the super Swede is a wonderful asset to have at this level as a result of his surging runs from deep.
CB: Jozo Simunovic

Rested for the win against Albion Rovers, it should be a return to league action for a man who so almost left Parkhead earlier this season. Rodgers really is reaping the rewards of keeping him about.
LB: Kieran Tierney

Made his comeback against the Wee Rovers on the weekend, a hugely promising sight for everyone involved with the club. A wonderful talent, the Scotland international could do with completing 90 minutes.
CM: Scott Brown

Looks totally refreshed since Rodgers took over, after stalling under Ronny Deila. The Bhoys skipper is a wonderful holding midfielder at this level.
CM: Nir Bitton

Pairs the aforementioned Scott wonderfully in the holding role, getting about the park when Brown falls deeper.
RM: Scott Sinclair

What a signing he has been. Looking like the player Manchester City shelled out for all those years ago, his searing pace will be a threat all game.
CAM: Stuart Armstrong

Handed a more forward role for their Scottish Cup win, Stuart Armstrong proved mightily impressive in that particular berth. As good as Tom Rogic has been this term, the Scotland international surely did enough to be considered again.
LM: James Forrest

Has seen his progress stall somewhat after a wonderful start to the season, his pace offers so much in attack, providing more of a chalk-on-boots winger than Sinclair on the other side.
ST: Moussa Dembele

Managed well by Rodgers, who has recently afforded Leigh Griffiths starts, though Moussa Dembele will want to kick off the second half of the campaign as well as he started the first.
