Swansea City are a side that are seriously struggling in the Premier League right now, and it’s safe to say their fans in the Transfer Tavern are on-edge right now.

But with Bob Bradley now at the helm, there is the chance for a new start and the American will bring a breath of fresh air to the Liberty City Stadium, which is seriously needed right now.

The Swans are yet to win in the league since the opening day of the campaign and going into the international break, they were 17th in the League table.

It’s just not good enough and even the landlord in the pub, who has a bit of a soft spot for the Swans, is becoming concerned.

And with a visit to Arsenal coming up this weekend, things aren’t about to get any easier for the under-fire Swans.

But we’re tipping Bradley’s men to surprise the Gunners, in a game they quite simply need to get a result from.

So with that in mind, here’s our Swansea XI that we think can surprise Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday…

GK: Lukasz Fabianski

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has a big point to prove as he returns to his old nesting ground this weekend.

He was deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates but now at Swansea, he’s doing exceedingly well between the sticks.

RB: Angel Rangel

Spanish right-back Angel Rangel has now been at the club for a staggering eleven years and it only seems right that he could be the man to turn fortunes around at the Liberty.

He’s been a big part of this Swansea resurgence as they’ve flown up the divisions and he can play a big part in helping them get out of this semi-crisis this season.

CB: Mike van der Hoorn

23-year-old centre-back Mike van der Hoorn has had a pretty intense start to his Swansea career after being thrown into the first-team following Ashley Williams summer departure.

He’s got lots to learn still but at times, he’s shown real promise.

He’s a player that’s only going to get better with time and Swansea fans need to keep the faith and get behind him.

CB: Jordi Amat

Spanish centre-back Jordi Amat has a big role to play in this Swansea side this campaign having had limited play time last season.

But they’ve conceded twice or more in four consecutive Premier League home games now, and he needs to improve going forward if Swansea are to get out of this mess. He needs to step up now but the potential really is there.

LB: Kyle Naughton

If there is one player that deserves to have a strong season this time out it’s full-back Kyle Naughton.

He sustained an injury in April that saw him ruled out of the end of the last campaign and he gives Swansea so much going forward. And fair play to him too, he’s started decently this season too but alongside his defensive colleagues, it just needs to be a bit tighter in the game against Arsenal.

CM: Jack Cork

Former Southampton midfielder Jack Cork brings so much to this Swansea City midfield and he will hope he can be a part of the turnaround this season.

They signed him for around £3million last summer and his energy in the middle-of-the-park is truly infectious.

CM: Leroy Fer

Leroy Fer is one of the Swansea players who really doesn’t deserve much criticism, despite a poor start to the campaign overall.

The former Norwich City man has been huge for the Swans this year and he adds pace, power and guile to the midfield line.

If he can stay in-form and work well alongside new manager Bob Bradley, he could very much become the key man in this side.

CM: Ki Sung-yueng

Leon Britton has featured a fair bit in the Swansea midfield this campaign but we think Ki Sung-yueng adds that little bit more quality to the side.

He’s done his fair share of scrapping in the past and he’s a useful player to have in the squad. Aggressive and a goalscorer, he could be the man to help his side overcome Arsenal.

RW: Wayne Routledge

Now in his sixth season with the Swans, Wayne Routledge is a man who has been through the mills with the Swans over the past few years.

He’s done the Championship to Premier League promotion thing and he’ll know just how much things need to improve if the Swans are to stay up.

He’s pacy, direct and when in-form, as good as most in the division on the wing.

ST: Fernando Llorente

Despite suffering a minor rib injury just before the international break, Bradley will hope to have Fernando Llorente back for the game against Arsenal.

He’s a burly unit but will need to add more goals to his game if he’s going to help his side move away from the Premier League trapdoor.

Has been in big games in the past and will hope to have a good game against the Gunners.

LW: Gylfi Sigurðsson

Icelandic forward Gylfi Sigurðsson has all the qualities needed to help Swansea escape from their current predicament, but he’ll need to be in top form if his side are to overcome the Gunners this weekend.

He brings real quality to the Swansea forward three and he might be the man to watch against Arsenal.
