It’s fair to say that the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been happy with the football the Reds have been playing this season with them currently second in the league table.

However, there seems to be one thing that the squad lack – the complete striker.

With the way they’ve played this year you look at the games against Southampton and Burnley this season and, like many many fans in the Transfer Tavern, scratch your head wondering why they could not win them too.

Surely, then, if Jurgen Klopp had a out and out striker then maybe those results would have been different.

With Daniel Sturridge always a doubt, they seem to lack a consistent striker to have available and whilst Roberto Firmino has been good, he sometimes lacks that finishing touch.

So here, then, are four lethal strikers that Klopp can realistically sign to help Liverpool win the title…

Andrea Belotti

Many fans in the Transfer Tavern will know of Torino because of Joe Hart.

However, Torino also have another superstar in their squad – Andrea Belotti. The Italian has been in unbelievable form in the league with twelve goals and four assists this season and the 22-year-old is highly regarded in Serie A. He is certainly a player the fans in the Transfer Tavern should note down on the back of a beer mat.

Javier Hernandez

The Ex-Man United striker will certainly be a name that Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will remember – whether that be for all the right reasons, though, may be debatable.

Despite his history the Mexican’s quality cannot be ignored and just needs a run of games at a club to truly show it. He’s done it at Leverkusen and would more than likely do it with the Reds in front of the Kop.

Alexandre Lacazette

The Frenchman has been on fire for some time now yet he still remains with Lyon.

Lacazette has managed to bag himself 14 goals already in all competitions this season and is a proven, top bracket, striker. For Liverpool he’d certainly the type of player the club lacks and our landlord reckons they’d win the league with him around, linking up with the likes of Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho.

Iago Aspas

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern looked puzzled near the pool table when our landlord mentioned a potential return from Iago Aspas.

However, the Spaniard is a completely different player than what he was three season ago with the Reds. Last year his goals helped Celta Vigo to an impressive sixth place finish and this season only Messi, Suarez and Ronaldo have scored more goals in the league. Time for another chance?
