4 players Pochettino is surely set to axe at Spurs immediately – Agreed?

Last season will be one to remember for two different reasons for many Tottenham fans.

The club achieved their best ever Premier League finish of 3rd and managed to challenge for top spot right until the last.

However Ultimately, a calamitous end-of-season collapse saw the most realistic chance of title glory in the clubs recent history slip away from them as a poor string of results – including an historic 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge – conceded any hope of being crowned Champion’s.

Regardless of last seasons late slip-up, the progress of the side under Argentine manager Mauricio  Pochettino has been remarkable, and the former Southampton man has transformed his young side from chronic underachievers to genuine title contenders.

Pochettino will be keen to keep the momentum of last season going in the hope his side can go one better next time out, and has signalled his intent already by signing both Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen from Southampton and AZ Alkmaar respectively for undisclosed fees.

The pair definitely add strength in depth to the Spur’s squad, however Pochettino is not expected to finish there as the club are linked with further moves for both Georginio Wijnaldum and Christian Tello.

Players in – unfortunately for those already at the club – mean players out. But who will be shown the exit door at White Hart Lane this summer? Our landlord thinks it could be these FOUR …..

Clinton N’Jie

‘Sorry, who?’ came a cry from the corner of the Tavern. Signed from Lyon for £8 million last summer, the Cameroon striker has made a measly 6 appearances all season, scoring a grand total of zero times.

Although sustaining a nasty injury in the December which partially explains the lack of playing time, the forward has failed to make an impact at White Hart Lane when given the opportunity, and is highly tipped for a move away this summer.

Nabil Bentaleb

Once the talk of the Transfer Tavern, the Algerian International has seriously struggled for playing time under current boss Pochettino.

222 minutes intact is all the youngster has amounted this campaign, and finds himself way down the midfield pecking order, behind the likes of regulars Christian Eriksen and Eric Dier.

A move for first team football seems inevitable.

Federico Fazio

Currently on loan at Europa League finalists Sevilla, Federico Fazio moved to the Spanish club on deadline day last year in the search for regular game time.

The Argentine’s wish has not been granted however, making only 4 La Liga appearances all campaign.

With no place at the back at the Lane due to the fine form of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, Fazio is stuck in limbo.

Ben Davies

Ben Daviesd

Former Swansea man Ben Davies has been unlucky since his 2014 move to White Hart Lane from Wales.

With undoubted quality, the only thing keeping the 23-year -old out of the starting line up has been the excellent form of the more experienced Danny Rose.

In a defence which has leaked fewer than any other Premier League side all season; it is unlikely the Welshman will find much playing time next season.
