If you’re a West Ham United supporter, it’s safe to say that it’s best to keep your head down and move quickly after a pretty horrendous start to the season.

Injuries have blighted their campaign so far and add to that some poor form and you’ve got a team that really need to pick things up as quickly as possible. Even the landlord in here hasn’t been impressed – and he’s a huge Hammers supporter!

And following the poor form, manager Slaven Bilic has began to find himself under a little bit of pressure to turn things around at the London Stadium.

Whilst rumours of the boot haven’t become that ripe just yet, you can’t help but think whispers might not be that far away if West Ham continue to lose.

And with big games against Southampton, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace on the horizon, form needs to start turning around ASAP.

But if it doesn’t, who should be in the offing to replace an under-pressure Bilic?

Steve McClaren

Former Newcastle manager Steve McClaren has been out of work since being sacked by the Toon earlier in March this year.

The 55-year-old has an extensive managerial CV and can boast his main success in Holland, having worked with FC Twente.

In his first spell, he led them to the Eredivisie title and was initially fondly welcomed back for a second spell.

He’s got Premier League experience and whilst lots of his jobs in management have ended with the sack, he’d be keen to kick-start his reputation at a big club like West Ham United.

Gary Rowett

Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has been branded by plenty as one of the brightest young English managers in the Championship, and after the way he’s turned around fortunes at St Andrews, it’s easy to see why.

He joined the club back in October 2014 and guided Birmingham to a healthy mid-table finish, despite the club languishing in the relegation zone when he first arrived.

His side have started strongly this time out too and the Blues sit in the top-six after a good start to the season.

More of a long-term investment this one but is Rowett ready for the Premier League?

Aitor Karanka

Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka deserves plenty of credit for not only guiding Boro into the top flight, but building a side that looks like its there to stay.

After a slight wobble last season where rumours of a fall out with the squad were well documented, arguments were put to one side and he took his side back into the Premier League.

He’s a calm, collected manager who more than deserves the chance to take the reigns at one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

Michael Laudrup

Arguably one of the greatest players of our generation, Michael Laudrup is currently out of management following his departure from Qatari club Lekhwiya.

He’s best well known for his work with Swansea City where he guided them to the League Cup title in February 2013.

He’s now been out of work for over a year and a return to management has been tipped in the near future, so could it be with strugglers West Ham United?
