Aston Villa are a side destined for relegation from the Premier League for the first time in their history.
It has been a poor few years for a side who were constantly in the top six places for many years until a certain American owner took control of the club.
Another season of turmoil which has seen fan walkouts, and fans against players will conclude in this historic club being relegated.
Following the sacking of Tim Sherwood the club appointed Remi Garde into the top position, and was given the task of keeping them up but has failed miserably winning just three games in his time at the club.
Should Garde leave the club he will be the tenth manager relieved of his duties since the turn of the century and the club’s third managerial casualty in just over a year.
The landlord here in The Transfer Tavern can see Garde leaving the club during the summer, and has been thinking about possible replacements for the Frenchman and has come up with FIVE possible replacements…….

Nigel Pearson
Former Leicester City manager Pearson has experience of winning the Championship, and could be just the tonic the club need of given the resources to get the club back into the Premier League.
Unlucky to be sacked by Leicester during the summer after keeping the club in the Premier League a move which has luckily come off for Leicester.
Chris Wilder
Northampton Town manager Chris Wilder has been a success at the League Two club so far this season in what has been a turbulent season for the club.
He currently has the Cobblers 13 points clear at the top of the table and they look certain to gain promotion to League One in the coming weeks, due to the fact they are 21 points clear of 4th place Accrington Stanley.
Wilder has had previous success with both Halifax and Oxford and has always stayed at a club for a long period time, and deserves the chance to manage at a higher level.
Gareth Southgate
As a former Villa player, Southgate would know what is expected and hopefully build a squad which has players to succeed.
The current England Under 21 boss has previous experience as a club manager and was fairly successful during his tenure at Middlesbrough.
He led England Under 21’s to the finals of the European championships last summer and could be tempted by the right offer to get back into club management.
Gus Poyet
Former Uruguayan international midfielder Poyet is no stranger to life as a Championship manager.
The current AEK Athens boss could be tempted back to England after spells as manager of Brighton and Sunderland.
His best spell came during his spell at Brighton where he led the unfancied side to a playoff semi final defeat to rivals Crystal Palace.
Gary Rowett
Rowett has worked wonders at cross city rivals Birmingham since leaving Burton to take over from Lee Clark as manager.
Rowett has taken them from Championship strugglers to the brink of the play-offs this season.
The temptation of the pull of a club like Villa could tempt him to leave St Andrews, but if he does it would be a controversial appointment from all sides.
