Many punters here at the Transfer Tavern are all in dispute over whether West Ham could achieve an unbelievable feat, and finish in the Champions League positions this season.
The Hammers currently sit fifth in the table, one point behind Manchester United, having achieved some incredible results already this season.
Most notably, away victories against Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool, as well as a great home victory against Champions, Chelsea.
However, in spite of this, West Ham have spoiled some of this great work by losing games which would appear far more winnable than the ones above.
Indeed, disappointing home losses to Bournemouth and Leicester, as well as draws to relegation candidates Norwich and Sunderland, means that their wins against the big teams ultimately could count for nothing if they do not turn this confusing form around.
Last weekend, the Hammers suffered another set back after being defeated 2-0 by newly promoted Watford, a team who have of course impressed many this season.
Nevertheless, if West Ham are going to achieve their dream of playing in the Champions League, they really will have to start winning those sort of games.

Julian Speroni
One thing that has been apparent about West Ham so far this season, is that when they have been missing regular stopper Adrian, back up keeper Darren Randolph hasn’t exactly filled Upton Park with confidence.
With Pardew seemingly preferring Wayne Hennessy and Alex McCarthy as his first choice stoppers, a move for the experienced Speroni could be a useful piece of business.
Nick Blackman
West Ham have not been afraid of recruiting from the Championship to bolster their squad, and Nick Blackman is in fine form for Reading.
The division’s leading scorer, a punt on Blackman could certainly bolster West Ham’s attacking options.
Alvaro Negredo
With reports emerging that Negredo could be seeking a move back to the Premier League, a move to West Ham certainly isn’t out of the question.
With West Ham able to demonstrate greater financial clout than the last time Negredo was in England, this certainly isn’t an unrealistic move.
Securing the signing of the Spanish international could be an incredible piece of business by Bilic.
Dejan Lovren
West Ham have of course had problems in defence this season, best demonstrated in their 4-3 loss to Bournemouth at the start of the year.
Any move for Lovren would most likely be on loan.
However, with Bilic having worked with Lovren during his Croatia days, this could be a chance for the former Southampton defender to end his Anfield nightmare and turn-around his quickly imploding Premier League career.
Vedran Corluka
Another vastly experienced defender and a trusted former colleague of Bilic, Corluka has plenty of know-how about the Premier League, having spent five years at Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
The current Lokomotiv Moscow captain still has a few years left in him at 29, and can play both centre back and at full back.
