Well what hasn’t been said about Aston Villa’s disastorous campaign that has now seen the club relegated to the Championship for the 2016/17 campaign.
They have been a club in free fall ever since then manager Martin O’Neill had a falling out with American owner Randy Lerner six years ago, and resulted in the popular Irishman leaving Villa Park.
The fans have finally had enough and the protests have begun in the hope that they persuade the unpopular owner to sell the club, so they can finally move forward.
We can expect the mass exodus of players come the end of the season, who will go off without a care in the world and pick up another huge signing on fee along with big wages, and no second thought for the fans of the club they have just let down.
So our landlord here in The Transfer Tavern has been going through the Aston Villa squad list, and come up with FIVE names he feels the fans of the club will be glad to see the back of this summer……

Joleon Lescott
It has been a poor showing from the experienced defender for Aston Villa this season – a string of inept performances have made the fans vocal in their criticism of the former Manchester City and Everton player.
Did himself more harm than good when he sent a controversial tweet which contained a picture of a new car, which he claimed was sent accidentally whilst in his pocket but the fans are not silly and have not let him forget that moment.
Gabriel Agbonlahor
Aston Villa’s longest serving player who has failed to live up to the undoubted potential that he looked like having when younger.
A season shrouded with controversy which has seen him suspended twice by the club for unprofessional behaviour whilst on nights out, and recently he confirmed that he was not a good enough role model, so had decided to give up the club captaincy.
Micah Richards
Another who has failed to live up to expectations for Villa this season.
Only signed last summer by Tim Sherwood on a free from Manchester City and hoped to revive his career with the Midlands club, but a series of poor performances from another high earner has not earnt him praise with the Villa fans.
Was involved in a heated conversation with the Villa fans during their dissapointing performance in a third round FA Cup tie at Wycombe.
Charles N’Zogbia
Aston Villa’s fans will be delighted to see the back of the arrogant Frenchman this summer.
Has never shown even an ounce of ability during his time at Villa Park, and another high earner who many would gladly drive to a new club if it rids them of a player well above his station.
He is a definite out this summer as his contract expires at the end of June and even the heirachy at Villa Park are not foolish enough to offer him a new deal.
Brad Guzan
The American keeper has had a disastrous campaign between the posts for the club.
His inonsistency and indecision have cost Villa on numerous occasions and he has quite frankly lost the form that he had shown for the club last season.
Another who is likely to be on his way this summer and someone who the Villa fans will be glad to see the back off.
