Alexandre Lacazette

Alexandre Lacazette has been the subject of a number of transfer rumours here in the Tavern over the last few months.

Most recently, it looked like he was off to West Ham, after the club placed a £31 million bid for the 25-year- old Frenchman.

Now however, it would appear that a move to White Hart Lane appears more likely, with Daniel Levy reportedly attempting to free up funds to sign the talented striker.

It seems that Spurs are spending wisely this summer after the players purchased after the sale of Gareth Bale largely disappointed, and it looks like Lacazette might be the biggest purchase of the summer.

With such an outstanding goal record in France, it is of no surprise that Spurs are interested; and it definitely looks like this deal could be finalised fairly soon.

Breel Embolo

A relatively unknown name in England, it would appear that another striker potentially on his way to White Hart Lane is Breel Embolo.

Spurs had been reportedly tracking Michy Batshuayi for some time instead, but after being largely unsuccessful in his persuit, they have no turned their attention to Embolo.

HITC Sport is reporting that Embolo has now moved passed Batshuayi in Pochettino’s wanted list, with the manager now feeling that the 19-year-old striker is a more realistic target.

The striker scored 12 goals for Basel last season, and at only 19 years old – he definitely has potential. A year playing alongside Harry Kane could do him wonders.

This looks like a deal that could definitely happen, with both parties interested in the deal.

Troy Deeney

Another unusual target that has emerged for Tottenham s is that of Troy Deeney, with the club in search of a backup to Harry Kane.

Currently plying his trade with Watford, Tottenham see Deeney as a cheaper example of a quality back up to Harry Kane, with The Sun reporting that the striker has become the club’s top target.

With 13 goals under his belt last season, alongside a tireless work rate, Deeney would be a valued asset to any title contender in the Premier League.

The deal also looks like it could happen, with The Sun also suggesting that Deeney is unhappy that his manager branded him “crazy”.

With a potentially low fee, with both parties interested; this has all the makings of a successful deal.

Andre Schurrle

Despite only joining Wolfsburg from Chelsea a year ago, another player that is reportedly interesting Spurs is Andre Schurrle.

A very talented winger, his main reason for leaving Chelsea was a lack of game time, despite showing his quality a number of times with the Blues.

According to The Sun, Schurrle is reportedly unhappy at the club and working under manager Dieter Hecking, leaving the door open for a move away from the club.

He would definitely suit the club, offering an alternative down the wing, whilst also being able to provide cover upfront, leaving less pressure on Harry Kane.

Given that the club are in search for a player of his caliber, alongside Schurrle’s reported unhappiness – this deal could definitely happen.

Saul Niguez

Tottenham are reportedly interested in young Spanish player Saul Niguez, a central midfielder currently plying his trade with Atletico Madrid.

At only 21 years old, Tottenham believe that Niguez has the potential to become a star midfielder in the years to come.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the deal is on the way to being done, in fact suggesting that the club have offered the player a 6 million euros a year to join the London outfit, making him their highest paid player.

With media outlets reporting that the deal is close to being finalised, it might not be too long before this one is announced. Provided that the club can muster up the cash for his 36 million euro release clause, we might see Niguez in London next year.
