There haven’t been any reasons for Norwich City fans to get the bubbly out in the Transfer Tavern just yet, though they certainly will be celebrating if they can avoid relegation from the Premier League.
It has been a steady start so far for the Canaries, where they currently sit 4 points out of the relegation zone, and are above champions Chelsea. Manager Alex Neil will therefore be on the whole impressed with his side, but he will be perhaps hoping they can show a bit more of a cutting edge in order to get past the forty points safety mark sooner rather than later.
A recent 1-0 win over Swansea City will certainly provide encouragement for those at Carrow Road and Norwich fans will be hopeful they can continue with the good form. Not many have been shouting about Norwich so far, but they do have some decent players in their side.
Below are five players who perhaps don’t get the praise they deserve.

Russell Martin
The captain of the side and funnily enough the second top scorer so far with three goals. This statistic shows that Alex Neil could do with bringing in a bit more talent in attack in January, or stick Martin up front!
Martin has also put in some impressive performances in defence, and has lead the side well, Norwich will need him to continue leading from the front if they are too survive this season.
Kyle Lafferty
On the other hand, why doesn’t Neil solve his goalscoring problem by giving Kyle Lafferty a chance?
Lafferty was in impressive form for Northern Ireland in their Euro 2016 qualification campaign, but hasn’t been able to make his mark at Carrow Road. Perhaps it is worth giving the former Rangers man a go, to see if he can improve a currently misfiring attack.
Alexander Tettey
The Norweigan midfielder is an impressive asset to the Norwich side, he has put in some assured displays in front of the back-four, and at times this has gone unrecognised.
The former Rosenberg man will need to continue doing this, in order for Norwich to stay up.
Wes Hoolahan
The Irishman is another who’s work can often go unnoticed. Hoolahan’s creative influence in midfield can often go unnoticed, where he is constantly pulling the strings in creating Canaries’ attacks.
At 33 years old, Hoolahan will need to use all his experience and know-how in order to be a key man in the Norwich side.
Nathan Redmond
Though Redmond is arguably highly rated by Canaries fans unlike, it seems he hasn’t done enough to impress his national team manager Roy Hodgson.
Redmond is the side’s leading scorer this year, with an impressive four goals. Despite this, Redmond will feel slightly aggrieved that Jesse Lingard got a call up ahead of him for the recent England squad.
It seems that Redmond unfortunately may have to move to a bigger club to achieve his dreams.
