Tottenham Hotspur fans will be feeling pretty content so far with their start to the Premier League campaign, sitting in 5th place with only a single loss to their name in the first 12 games.
The only complaint that they could have so far is that half of their games have ended in a draw, showing signs that Spurs can’t easily be beaten (including a 1-1 draw with North London rivals, Arsenal) but they need to try harder to turn 1 point into 3.
With the capable squad that they have under boss, Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs fans will be optimistic about the season ahead, targeting a top four finish and another opportunity at Champions League football.

Michel Vorm
The current Spurs number 2 is first on this list of players that we think are underrated. Michel Vorm has always had a good reputation as a capable Premier League performer, proving himself to be a top quality goalkeeper in his time at Swansea. In his 3 years with the Swans between 2011 and 2014, he made 89 appearances for them, establishing himself as their number one and arguably earning a deserved transfer to Spurs.
The Dutch international has been forgotten about since his move to White Hart Lane, as Hugo Lloris has been in incredible form for Spurs and has the number 1 spot on lockdown. However, in the 5 appearances that Vorm has been called upon, he has shown the same consistent quality that he always had on display at Swansea. Undoubtedly a top class goalkeeper that deserves a lot more credit than he gets.
Dele Alli
The second player on this list of underrated Spurs stars is new hot-prospect, Dele Alli. The 19-year-old midfield starlet is showing some incredible potential in his debut season for Tottenham, displaying pace, power and a vast improvement in a short space of time.
Starting his career at Milton Keynes Dons, Alli made over 70 appearances for the Championship side, scoring some impressive goals along the way and earning himself a £5m deal to Tottenham.
Making 10 apperances and bagging himself 2 goals so far this season, Alli could go on to be a massive player for Spurs in the future as he is quickly making a name for himself at the Lane and people are still yet to realise how good a player the England international could become.
Ryan Mason
The next player that is quickly making a name for himself is Ryan Mason. Mason is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy and spent several spells on loan to Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers, Millwall, Lorient and finally Swindon over the space of the first 6 years of his senior career.
However, over the past 2 seasons, Mason has been a regular name on the Tottenham team sheet, showing plenty of ability in midfield and consistently performing well against some of the best players in the Premier League.
Despite only making 36 appearances for Spurs since starting his senior career 7 years ago, Mason has all of the qualities capable of making him one of the top midfield talents in the top flight of English football.
Nacer Chadli
Nacer Chadli, the 26-year-old Belgian winger, is next on the list of underrated Spurs players. When he joined Spurs from FC Twente in July 2013, Chadli had already made over 170 appearances in his senior career but hadn’t really made a name for himself in the footballing world.
Although Chadli’s Premier League goals to game record is far from fantastic, he has scored some vital goals for Spurs since his move to England there is no doubting the talent that the Belgian international has and the name itself “Nacer Chadli” should be thought of as a potential game-changer and not just another name on the team sheet.
Heung-Min Son
Last but not least on the Spurs underrated list is South Korean striker, Heung-Min Son. Son joined Spurs prior to the 2015 Premier League campaign and has made 4 apperances for Tottenham. On 20 September 2015, he scored his first (of many, hopefully!) Premier League goal against Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane, netting in the 68th minute to give Tottenham their first home Premier League win of the season.
Previously at Bayern Leverkusen, Son had made 62 appearances for the Bundesliga side and decided he wanted a fresh challenge and made the journey to England. With him only making 4 appearances, he is yet to earn a reputation amongst the regular Premier League followers but keep an eye on this one, he’s proven in the past that he’s got a lot in his locker.
