There hasn’t been too much to keep Newcastle busy in the Transfer Tavern so far this summer.
There’s not been much for the Newcastle fans to cheer about this summer. Mike Ashley is yet to really dip his hand into his deep pockets and pull off a big signing for the north-east club.
There have been plenty of rumours linking the club with moves for multiple players, such as Alassane Plea and seem to be close to finalising a deal for Chelsea man, Kenedy. However, the biggest news to come out today is West Ham’s rejected bid for Newcastle captain and fan favourite, Jamaal Lascelles.
The central defender was subject to a £25 million from the Hammers as they continue their summer spending spree. It is essential that Newcastle keep the defender if they are to have any chance of pushing into the European spots.
