Newcastle have massively turned around their form as Rafa Benitez has helped the Magpies finally find the winning formula.
Just three games ago, fans would have been fearing the worst about Newcastle’s chances of survival this season, considering they hadn’t yet won a game.
Fast forward to now, the Magpies have won their last three in a row and are looking up rather than down.
It’s been a valiant team effort as they have improved massively on the pitch but still they need to continue this run of form, which could be helped by some big signings in the January transfer window.
Newcastle are not short on midfield options but none carry the quality that Liverpool’s Adam Lallana does, so a move for him is definitely necessary.
Lallana, who is valued at £18 million on Transfermarkt, is a player who could alone transform Newcastle back into a top ten contender.
The 30-year-old is surely tempted to eye a move away from Anfield in January, considering he has made just three appearances in the Premier League this season.
Lallana, though, is still a great talent but after a long lay-off with injury, he has found it very tricky to wiggle his way back into the starting line-up.
The attacking midfielder would bring a completely new element to Newcastle’s midfield, being the player who pulls the strings in the middle and provides more chances for the attackers in-front of him.
Rafa Benitez will hope to use his resources when plotting a move to bring Lallana to St James’ Park, a player that could really improve Newcastle.
