Regardless of how the title race plays out, Arsenal are heading towards a defining summer.
If they go on to lift the Premier League, the focus will be on strengthening from a position of power and building a squad capable of sustaining success.
If they fall short once again, far bigger changes could be on the horizon — with uncertainty around Mikel Arteta and a likely overhaul, particularly in attack after another campaign where their forward line has come under scrutiny.
Either way, recruitment plans are already in motion — but one target now appears to be slipping out of reach.
Arsenal Hit Endrick Setback
Arsenal have been dealt a significant blow in their pursuit of Endrick, with Real Madrid making it clear the teenager is not for sale.
The Brazilian forward — described as “special” by Jude Bellingham — has caught the eye once again following an impressive loan spell at Olympique Lyonnais. His return of eight goals and seven assists in 18 appearances has reignited interest across Europe, including from the Gunners.
Arsenal had made enquiries to explore whether a summer deal might be possible, viewing Endrick as a long-term solution in attack regardless of how their season concludes.
However, according to TEAMtalk, Madrid’s stance is firm — the 19-year-old will return to the Bernabéu and be integrated into their first-team plans.
The player himself is also understood to be keen on staying in Spain, determined to fight for his place and prove his worth at one of the biggest clubs in world football.
This one never really got off the ground — and now it’s over before it truly began.
Arsenal’s search for attacking firepower rolls on, but losing out on a talent like Endrick means they’ll need to pivot quickly… and aim just as high.
