Fair to say, Arsenal fans are enjoying a far better relationship with Gary Neville now than when he was playing for the club’s bitter rivals Manchester United.
The former Red Devil was commentating on Saturday’s game against Liverpool and gave his thoughts on the North London side’s goal, saying it showed ‘personality’ and ‘character’.
“I think that’s a big, big goal that for Arsenal. It didn’t get them anything out of the game, but it demonstrates a character and a personality that they’re going to keep going. It’s a good moment for Arsenal.”

Neville was complimentary of Arsenal’s performance away at Anfield, despite the 3-1 loss for Unai Emery’s side. The Sky Sports pundit said that Arsenal could expect to win far more away games this season than last campaign, on the basis of their performance (via football.london)
Arsenal lost eight of their 19 away games last season, winning just seven, as they finished fifth and outside of the Champions League places (via Transfermarkt).
Gooners seem to be in agreement with Neville, after his comments on Arsenal’s goal and took to Twitter to react.
