Danny Welbeck bagged the only goal in a 1-0 win away to Sporting Lisbon last night. On the 76th minute, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang flicked the ball through to Welbeck, which ex-Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates couldn’t quite reach. This left Welbeck one-on-one and he made no mistake in firing the ball home, safely placing Arsenal top of Group E with nine points out of nine. Welbeck then amusingly tweeted this goal out with the caption ‘I’m Dat Guy’ which got a lot of people talking on Twitter.
Considering that, let’s take a look at some of the Arsenal fans’ thoughts on his goal and his performance.
