Arsenal fans were left excited after David Ornstein updated the fans on the latest news regarding the club’s chase for a new manager.
According to The Athletic’s man, it is becoming known in the game that Mikel Arteta is leading contender to land the job at the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta was in the running to land the job in 2018, though conflicting reports have emerged about the side’s decision to eventually appoint Unai Emery.
According to The Mirror, Ivan Gazidis intervened and Emery was picked as the club’s new manager.
However, Arteta, himself, has come out since and revealed that he rejected a return to his former side, claiming he didn’t think he was ready (SER Catalunya via The Mirror).
It seems that the latest update from Ornstein has certainly pleased the fans as they took to Twitter to react to his report.
