Arsenal: Fans go crazy for Nicolas Pepe amid calls for patience from Wilfried Zaha

Arsenal fans are going crazy for Nicolas Pepe after he scored in Ivory Coast’s 3-1 win over DR Congo on Sunday.

The summer signing notched up his second goal of the season for club and country since his summer move from French club Lille (via BBC).

Pepe hasn’t enjoyed the best of times at the Emirates Stadium this season, scoring a solitary goal in his 10 appearances for the club (via Transfermarkt).

International teammate Wilfried Zaha called for patience from the north London faithful amid the Ivorian’s woes, highlighting his tender age.

Pepe is only 23-years-old, but he enjoyed a barnstorming season in Ligue 1 last campaign, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists for former club Lille.

Fans were going crazy for Pepe after his goal for the Ivory Coast in their friendly win as they took to Twitter to react.
