These Arsenal fans seem to be in a great mood after Unai Emery announced in his press conference that Shkodran Mustafi and Mohamed Elneny aren’t part of his plans for this season.
The Spanish coach said the two players would be happier if they left the Emirates this summer.
He said: “I spoke with them (Mustafi and Elneny) a lot of times last year and this pre-season and I think it is positive for them to leave and sign for another team where they can be protagonists and be happy and continue their careers.” (Source: Goal)
Neither of the players have made an appearance this season, with Emery having publicly declared his want to move both players on.
Mustafi has been much maligned during his time at Arsenal, with reports from the BBC’s David Ornstein that Emery has ‘lost his patience’ with the German following the Europa League final.
Meanwhile, Elneny was on the periphery of the Arsenal squad last season, only making 17 appearances in all competitions.
Fans were in a celebratory mood following the announcement from the Arsenal manager and took to Twitter to tweet their happiness.
Here is a selection of tweets from the North London faithful:
Offloading these 2 bums in the same week, would feel like we’ve done the double.
