Lots of Arsenal fans are lauding their manager Mikel Arteta after comments made from former player Kim Kallstrom were published on the north London club’s official website and shared on their Twitter page.
The ex-Swedish international was speaking in an exclusive interview with the Gunners where he touched upon many topics, including his memories of playing alongside Arteta. He discussed arriving in London with a broken back, and also claims that he was not originally interested in a loan move to the Premier league until Arsenal came calling.
Amongst the other subjects he talked about was playing alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but it was comments about their current boss that grabbed the attention of many AFC supporters. Kallstrom described how Arteta was so committed and engaged with football and that seems to have rubbed off on his coaching.
“I learned a lot just from watching him,” the 37-year old added.
Kallstrom only managed four appearances in all competitions during his loan spell, but it appears that he was heavily influenced by Arteta in his short time there.
