It’s been a struggle over the last couple of days hasn’t it Arsenal fans? However, things seem to be looking up as the news has broken via reliable Cakciomercato journalist Nicolo Schira that Monchi, formerly of Roma and Sevilla, has been offered a three-year contract at The Emirates to be reunited with Unai Emery.

Monchi and Roma have been on course for this outcome for a while now. Interest from both PSG and Arsenal in the miracle-working transfer guru has been rife, but the fact that the ex-Sevilla man could be linking up with Emery again, this time in North London, has swung the odds of his next club in the direction of Arsenal, even if it looks like the Gunners will have him working on a tight budget.
The fans at The Emirates would love to see this confirmed today or in the next 24 hours. It would provide Emery with a perfect boost in morale ahead of what promises to be a season-defining clash with Manchester United on Sunday, and that could be what they need after their shocking 3-1 away loss in Brittany against Stade Rennais yesterday evening.

The Gunners simply cannot wait to welcome Monchi to the club and will hope he can replicate his success from Sevilla at Arsenal with his partner-in-crime, Unai Emery.
