If Arsenal fans didn’t believe the hype around Lucas Torreira before yesterday, then they certainly do now. The Gunners tore Tottenham to pieces in the second half of the North London derby yesterday and Lucas Torreira was key to that as he added the 4th and final goal to give Unai Emery the perfect end to his first clash against Tottenham.

The fans have been absolutely raving over Torreira since he signed from Sampdoria over the summer and the Arsenal fans have already dubbed him as the new Patrick Vieira. However, before he turned up and tore the Tottenham midfield to shreds he still had his doubters. Derbies like yesterdays are the ones where top players show what they’re made of and the Uruguayan was just the latest to do so at The Emirates.
Torreira and co will now be turning their attention to Manchester United on Wednesday evening as they face a tough test away at Old Trafford. However, if their midfield warrior can turn up and put in the same level of performance against Jose Mourinho’s side as he did against the Lilywhites then the match will be over before it’s even begun, especially seeing as United are in tatters are the moment.

The Gunners can’t get enough of Torreira and will be looking to the 22-year-old to do it all again against Manchester United on Wednesday.
