Arsenal fans were left heaping praise on youngster Gabriel Martinelli after the forward scored a brace on his full debut for the north London club.
The summer signing scored twice in the 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup last night.
The first goal came after Reiss Nelson played a delightful ball out to the right-wing for Calum Chambers, who volleyed a cross into the young Brazilian to plant a header past on-loan Manchester City ‘keeper Arijanet Muric.
The second goal came after a good dribbling run took the 18-year-old just outside the box after which he unleashed a curling effort into the top corner (via BBC).
The start against Forest was Martinelli’s second Arsenal appearance after he came on as a substitute in the 1-0 win over Newcastle United in the opening game of the season.
Fans have been sending messages of praise to the 18-year-old after his goal-scoring feats in the League Cup as they took to Twitter to react.
