Arsenal are on the hunt for a new manager after sacking Unai Emery.
The Spaniard departed the Emirates after a run of seven games without a win, leaving the Gunners sitting eight in the Premier League table.
Club legend Freddie Ljungberg will take over from Emery as interim head coach until a permanent replacement is appointed.
One of the biggest clubs in England having a vacant manager’s position will inevitably see most of the big names linked with the position, one of which has been Mauricio Pochettino by the Sun, though they do also talk of the potential difficulty in convincing him given his history with Spurs.
Following Emery’s departure earlier, Evening Standard journalist Dan Kilpatrick poured cold water over the idea on Twitter.

The Argentinian was sacked by arch rivals Tottenham last week after a poor start to the season left them in the bottom half of the table.
He was replaced by Jose Mourinho, a man with alliances to one of Spurs’ rivals in Chelsea.
If Pochettino were to take up the role at Arsenal, it would be a huge statement having been so beloved across North London.

He has so much choice. PSG, bayern, Dortmund, madrid and man utd all potentially will approach him soon so why destroy his legacy and give himself a load of grief he doesnt need for a smaller club than others who might want him
