As if losing last night to Stade Rennais in the Europa League wasn’t enough, Arsenal fans now have the pleasure of taking on Manchester United at The Emirates. The team news ahead of the clash couldn’t be much worse for Arsenal either, Lucas Torreira is suspended after his North London Derby send off, and United will be calling in the cavalry.

Whilst Arsenal were busy getting embarrassed in Brittany in the Europa League, the Red Devils were recovering from the sore heads they’d have got after celebrating their famous win in Paris. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pulled off a miracle win and did so without nine senior players, yet ahead of his side’s trip to The Emirates, he’ll have Anthony Martial, Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera all back.
As far as the Gunners are concerned, that can only be bad news. It looks very much like Solskjaer and his returning stars are planning on kicking the Gunners whilst they’re down. A win for United would see them extend their gap over Arsenal to four points, and it’s hard to see the Gunners being able to muster anything from this game given the form of both of the sides going into this one.

Great, as if the reserve team wasn’t going to smash us anyway

The Gunners had little hope before hearing of Man United’s injury news and will just be desperate to get through the game without being thoroughly embarrassed.
