Arsenal’s search for a new left-sided attacker has accelerated with Leandro Trossard closing in on a move to Besiktas following the World Cup.
The Belgian played a vital role in the Gunners’ Premier League title-winning campaign last season, contributing eight goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
He has also impressed on the international stage, registering two goals and three assists for Belgium at the 2026 World Cup.
Replacing a player of Trossard’s quality will be a difficult task, but Arsenal appear to be edging closer to securing their preferred successor.
Arsenal Finalising Deal for Tzolis
According to The Sun, Arsenal are in the final stages of completing a deal for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis.
The Gunners have prioritised strengthening the left flank throughout the summer, and an agreement worth around £35 million is reportedly close to being finalised, with only the club’s final approval required before the transfer can be completed.
If everything goes to plan, the Greece international will travel to London to undergo the remaining formalities before signing for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Tzolis arrives with an impressive reputation, having been described as “amazing” by Union Saint-Gilloise defender Kevin Mac Allister after his performances in Belgium.
The proposed fee would also make the 24-year-old the most expensive Greek footballer in history, surpassing Brighton’s signing of Babis Kostoulas, and Arsenal will hope he can seamlessly fill the void left by Trossard ahead of the new campaign.
