Metro have Arsenal fans looking up with some serious interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that the Gunners are ready to sign Victor Wanyama.
The Southampton midfielder is just the kind of player Arsene Wenger needs to be looking at according to our regulars here in the Football Transfer Tavern, and it seems they could finally get their wish.
The Gunners will be splashing the cash in the summer and given the Saints player would only cost around £20 million, it could well be the ideal move. In fact, as our landlord quips over by the bar, Wenger should ask the south coast side if they can get a bargain double deal for Wanyama and Morgan Schneiderlin!
Given Wanyama is only 23 years of age, he would represent a very good deal for Wenger and the Gunners – and we think it is one they need to make sure comes off!
