Arsenal should seriously consider making a move for this French international midfielder

Djibril Sidibe

Arsenal head into the summer with some stability finally underneath them, with manager Arsene Wenger signing a two-year deal to remain at the club.

The Gunners will be looking to get back their coveted top four spot, after relinquishing it to Liverpool this season, and manager Wenger will be keen to add some new faces to his squad to make sure this happens.

Our landlord has been having some good banter with the Arsenal lot here in the Tavern this week, and talk has turned to the summer transfer window and just who the club might look to bring in.

One player who is a hot topic this week is French full back Djibril Sidibe, who put in an impressive performance for France this week against England.

The Monaco man has been a model of consistency throughout the season too, as his performances have continued to impress onlooking scouts. His performance midweek simply capped off an incredible campaign for the 24-year-old.

Arsenal could well be in the market for a full back given whispers around Hector Bellerin’s future, and also the fact Wenger opted to use wing backs towards the end of the season.

Sidibe looks to fit the mould of  a Premier League player in every sense of the word, and could well turn out to be a star if he is given the chance to shine at a club like Arsenal.

Gunners fans, what do you think? Would this be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts!
