The Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern definitely think that he needs it…
Mesut Ozil has been putting in quite a shift for the Gunners this season – with the German maestro undoubtedly their player of the season thus far.
Whilst he has been performing consistently this season, the frequency to which he has been used has caused concern for the Gunners in the Tavern – with many fearing that he could burn out towards the end of the campaign.
This is, seemingly, something that Germany national team manager Joachim Low is aware of – and it would appear that he is going to take measures to ensure that he is in top form for both club and country.
According to Kicker, Ozil is set to be rested from the next batch of German national team call-ups, as Low looks to introduce some less experienced players into the fold, whilst also giving his more experienced hands a rest.
This could prove hugely beneficial for both Germany and Arsenal, given that Ozil has been ineffective after the turn of the year over the last few years.
When he’s fit and ready there is absolutely nobody better – and so Wenger will no doubt be thanking Low for his approach – provided that this report by Kicker rings true.
The Arsenal fans are backing his form to get even better after a bit of time off….
