Indiana Vassilev has signed a new contract at Aston Villa, extending his deal at the Villa Park through to 2022.
Villa’s top-flight future remains the biggest concern at the club at the present time, but the Midlands based outfit have been busy securing a new deal in the background for promising youngster Vassilev.
The United States forward has now penned a new two-year deal which will see him looking to gain more first team chances.
Having been a regular for Villa’s U23 side over the course of the season, Vassilev made his first team debut against Fulham in the FA Cup in January.
Since his first appearance, the youngster has made three further appearances, coming off the bench against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup semi-final, whilst also facing Brighton and Watford in the Premier League.
Villa sit 19th in England’s top flight as things stand, eagerly anticipating the return of football in England.

Good news. Looked pretty capable in the few games he appeared in, could be handy in the championship if it comes to it. Needs to step up properly in the next 12 months though.
