Aston Villa battle Premier League sides for talented forward

Ever since his arrival, the Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern have been so much happier with life under Steve Bruce – despite his roots with Birmingham City.

The former Manchester United skipper has restored some sense of solidity at Villa Park as they look to turn things around and challenge towards the top end of the second tier.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, they have been handed further promising reports.

The Midlands giants are reportedly scouting Greenock Morton prospect Jai Quitongo after the 19-year-old proved impressive for The Ton in the Scottish second tier.

A pacy forward, the talented teen is out of contract at the end of the season and is free to talk to interested parties from outside of Scotland by the time January rolls around.

Villa, as well as West Ham and Swansea, are all understood to be keeping close tabs on him after he was recently called up to the Tartan Army’s U21 side.
