Much talk of late regarding Aston Villa has been about the expected departure of Jack Grealish.
As well as Grealish, though, Villa could also be about to lose another one of their key players in James Chester.
Having had an opening bid of £5m rejected, the Daily Mail reports Stoke City are hoping £8m will now get the job done with Villa likely to accept a compromise on their £10m valuation because of their financial situation.
Losing Chester will come as a huge blow with his centre-back partner from last season John Terry having already left the club.
Replacing the former England and Chelsea captain was a difficult task in itself, but potentially having to find a successor for Chester as well would be a nightmare for manager Steve Bruce.
