Responding to footage from Aston Villa’s official club account, many supporters have been raving over striker Mbwana Samatta’s performance from the Carabao Cup final – lauding his goal in particular.
Samatta, who scored the second highest SofaScore rating out of any Villa player last Sunday afternoon (7.2), pulled a goal back for Dean Smith’s side just before half time – rifling in a header at the near post beyond City keeper Claudio Bravo.
The Tanzanian, who signed for Villa in the January transfer window from Genk for £8.5 million, certainly impressed during his outing at Wembley – with supporters going on to sing his praises ever since. As well as scoring, Samatta also registered a 77% pass accuracy while winning half of his ground duels – highlighting his menacing presence when given an opportunity to impress. As a result, many fans are still lauding his heroics despite the loss – with one fan calling him a ‘beast‘ while others suggest he ‘should have arrived in the summer‘.

Love Wesley, but this guy by the looks of it should have arrived in the summer.
