Aston Villa fans had a shocking day yesterday. The Villains were well and truly beaten by Wigan Athletic as they fell to a 3-0 away defeat. It was a day to forget for a number of players, including debutant Kourtney Hause who made his first Villa outing off the bench after signing on loan from Wolves, however, he had a stinker.
The young English defender’s distribution let him down massively on his Villa debut and that will be hard for him to recover from now. First impressions go a long way, and the one that he made on the travelling Villains was beyond woeful. The 23-year-old looked awkward on the ball and showed no sign of getting comfortable in the game in his 27 minutes on the pitch, and he will have to improve as soon as possible.
The next game that the Villains face sees them return to Villa Park to take on the in-form Hull City next Saturday. However, that game could be yet another where Hause struggles, if he even features at all, seeing as Nigel Adkins has got the Tigers playing some spectacular football, and their 3-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday was their 6th straight win in the Championship.

The Villains hate the idea of Hause starting any games for them after his horror debut, however, it’s only early days and things could turn around quickly with a solid display against Hull.
