Many Aston Villa fans are reacting to the reason as to why Ezri Konsa was not available to play against Burnley on Thursday night.
According to @ChrisFordTV, and tweeted out by @villareport, centre-back Konsa missed out due to an illness. With recent events, the Villa supporters are understandably worried about what he might have.
If it is just a normal illness like a cold, they will be hoping that he can return for the derby against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend. He has been a vital asset for the club this season, playing in all ten Premier League games before the Burnley match, and averaging 4.7 clearances a game (WhoScored).
He has been a part of five clean sheets, but he has also been an asset in attack as he has picked up two goals this season (Transfermarkt). Therefore if he is out for a long period, he will definitely be a big miss, especially as the fixtures are very congested over the Christmas period.
Here is what Villa fans said following the news on Konsa:
Bit worried about this. Hause has barely played this season.

Could’ve been worse. Hopefully he’ll be ok for Sunday. He’ll be well rested, too.
