Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to comments made by Dean Smith after the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United on Thursday evening.
Approaching the game with United at Villa Park, Villa sat in the bottom three and they did very little to get themselves out of the relegation places with their performance against the Red Devils.
Bruno Fernandes would open the scoring just before the hour mark after VAR opted to award United a penalty after Ezri Konsa’s foul, before Mason Greenwood would double the visitor’s advantage in first half stoppage time.
Despite being 2-0 down, the Midlands outfit failed to really create anything other than Trezeguet’s first half chance which beat David De Gea but hit the post.
French World Cup winner Paul Pogba would add gloss to the win for the away side, netting just before the hour mark in what proved to be another defeat for Villa.
Smith, who spoke after the game to reporters is quoted as saying by Birmingham LIVE:
Dean Smith: “Every game’s must win. We’ve got four games left. We have to look at other results & see where it leaves us. That will then decide if Sunday’s must win or not.” [birmingham live] #avfc

His comments have led Villa fans to respond via Twitter account @villareport, with many seemingly unhappy with his admission that they will be looking at other teams results, perhaps hoping for favours elsewhere.
It seems quite a few have lost patience with him, unsurprising perhaps given their lowly league position…
