Aston Villa will reject any offer made by Manchester United in the January transfer window for midfielder John McGinn, that is according to the Birmingham Mail.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the Scottish international for some time now, with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly urging the club to try and sign the former Hibernian man according to the Sun.
However, the report from the Birmingham Mail suggests that Villa aren’t looking to sell the £50 million rated player in January, so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have to wait until the summer to take him to Old Trafford.
McGinn has made a terrific start to his debut season in the Premier League and has started all 11 of Villa’s games so far, scoring three goals and providing a couple of assists (Transfermarkt).
It is, therefore, no surprise that other clubs are interested in acquiring his services, but if reports are to be believed he will be seeing the season out at Villa Park.
In reaction to the news that Villa will not sell to Manchester United in January, many fans have taken digs at the Red Devils by questioning why McGinn would move to Old Trafford given that they are just two points above them in the table (BBC Sport).
Here is what some had to say on Twitter…
