Loads of Aston Villa fans have revealed their admiration for defender Domagoj Vida after the club allegedly saw a bid turned down for his services.
According to Turkish outlet Takvim (via Sport Witness), the Villans sent a €5m (£4.2m) offer Besiktas’ way for their centre-back. However, the Super Lig outfit are said to have rejected the offer.

The same report states, however, that business could be done should Villa return with a bid of €8m-10m (£6.8m-8.5m). And going off Twitter, it seems like that is the outcome supporters are hoping for.
All things considered, though, Vida might not be at the top of Villa’s priority list with the club already having some decent centre-halves at their disposal.
Take Kortney Hause, for example, who is currently winning an incredible 7.8 aerial duels per Premier League game — significantly more than Vida’s 1.8 (via WhoScored).
In fact, Vida’s average also leaves him behind Bjorn Engels (3.5), Ezri Konsa (2.2) and Tyrone Mings (2) in that department.
Whatever the case, these Villa fans remain keen on the Croatia international:
